All of the check printing companies represented on www.desk-set-checks.com
are members of the American Mail Order Check Association (AMOCA).
AMOCA was formed to represent some of America's leading direct
mail check companies and instituted Fraud Alert, a procedure
to identify and prevent unauthorized orders of checks. This
organization acts as a clearing house for suspected fraudulent
check order requests. If one AMOCA member discovers a possible
unauthorized order, the other members are notified within
24 hours to prevent fraudulent orders from being processed.
Each member of AMOCA agrees to follow the American National
Standards Institute's (ANSI) high criteria for check printing,
which are the same standards followed by all accepted financial
institutions. Checks under the ANSI guarantee are printed
with the same specifications required of any financial institution
and therefore must be accepted by them in the course of daily
banking.
Additional security measures on all checks featured on www.desk-set-checks.com
include:
- The
icon to the right of the word "Dollars" indicates
to the Bank or Credit Union that the check contains security
features that will help them detect a copy from an original
document.
- The
icon indicates that micro-security print is used in the
check design, which is very small print that breaks up if
someone attempts to photocopy your check.
- Chemical Protection and Erasure Protection produce stains
or spots if someone tampers with your check.
- The Security Screen on the back of each check signals
an "Original Document" from a reproduction.
- Additional features are not disclosed to provide even
greater protection. All security features exceed financial
industry requirements.
